You can create a new ranking phase on the Add Ranking Phase page.
To create a ranking phase, fill in the following fields:
The required fields are noted with an asterisk (*).
Cycle*, Scenario*: Select the cycle and scenario the ranking phase is under.
Ranking Phase Name*: Enter a name for the ranking phase.
Ranking Standard*: There are four ranking standards: Project-level Score-based, Project-level Forced Matrix, Criteria-based and Advanced Criteria-based:
Project-level Score-based standard - Projects are benchmarked on the project level against the score structure defined in a Score Structure Template. If this standard is selected, you should also specify a Score Structure Template that will be used.
Project-level Forced Matrix standard - Projects are compared with each other in terms of the importance of the projects. If a project "beats" another project, it scores one point; otherwise it gets no point. Scores are then accumulated as the total score. No template is needed for this standard.
Criteria-based standard - Projects are benchmarked with the criteria defined in a Ranking Criteria Template. For each project, scores for all criteria are rolled up according to the calculating method of the template. It can be regarded as the detailed version of Project-level Score-based Standard. If this standard is selected, you should also specify a Ranking Criteria Template that will be used.
Advanced Criteria-based standard - Similar to Criteria-based standard but with more flexible and sophisticated criteria definition. Criteria calculation types include: Manual, Single or Multiple Selection and Formula.
Once a template is specified, you can view the template details by clicking 
. The system will open the Template Management page in a new window.
Start Date*, End Date*: Specify a duration when the ranking phase will be valid. Evaluators can only rank projects in this timeframe.
Working Ranking Phase: Select this checkbox if you want to set the ranking phase as the working ranking phase. Only one ranking phase in the same cycle and scenario can be set as the working ranking phase. Working Ranking Phase is the default ranking phase when a user goes to Planning > Ranking > Rank Projects.
Click the Save button to save the new ranking phase and the system will go to the Browse Ranking Phases page.
Click the Save & Add button to save the new ranking phase and add another one.
Click the Save & Continue button to save the new ranking phase and go to the tab Projects & Evaluators page of the ranking phase.
Click the Reset button to clear the latest input.
