Add Timesheet

Navigate Here: Resource > Timesheets > Add Timesheet or

Resource > Timesheets > Browse Timesheets > click the Add icon Add or

Resource > Resources > Browse Resources > select a resource > Timesheets tab > click the Add icon Add or

Projects > Browse Projects > select a project > Timesheets tab, click the Add New icon Add or

Projects > Browse Projects > select a project > Schedules tab, enter into Gantt Chart > select a task > popup Task Information screen > Timesheets tab, click the Add New icon Add

 

You can add a timesheet on the Add Timesheet page.

 

(1) If you access this page from the menu Resource > Timesheets > Add Timesheet or Browse Timesheet

 

Add Timesheet

 

Resource*: Default is the current user as a resource.  If you have been authorized, you may click Magnifier to pick another resource to be associated with the timesheet being entered.

 

Project*: A Project field will be displayed and you can select a implementation project by clicking Magnifier.  Only those projects associated with the selected resource are available for selection.

 

Task: Select a task by clicking Magnifier.  Only those tasks associated with the selected project are available for selection.

 

 

(2) If you access this page from a Resource's Timesheets tab

 

AddResourceTimesheet

The current Resource will be auto populated and cannot be edited.

 

(3) If you access this page from a Project's Timesheets tab

 

AddProjectTimesheet

The current Project will be auto populated and cannot be edited.

 

(4) If you access this page from the Schedules Gantt Chart > Task Information popup screen > Timesheets tab

 

Add Project Schedule Timesheet

 

The Project, and Task fields will be auto populated and cannot be edited.

 

 

To add a timesheet, fill in the following fields:

 

The required fields are noted with an asterisk (*).

 

Resource*: You need to select a resource from the task. The available resources are those that are assigned to the specified project and task.

 

Project*: You need to select a project to which this timesheet is related.

 

Start Date*/Start Time: The date and time when the resource starts the work. By default, Start Date is the current date, and Start Time is blank.

 

End Date*/End Time: The date and time when the resource ends the work. By default, End Date is the current date, and End Time is blank.

 

Timesheet Type*: Two types of timesheet can be selected.

 

Standard: Timesheet record for normal working day.

Overtime: Timesheet record for OT.

 

Working Hours*: Total hours worked in the time interval specified by Start Date & Time and End Date & Time. When you edit its value , the previously entered values in the Start Time and End Time fields will be cleared and left as blank.

 

Standard Rate, Overtime Rate, Custom Rates: These fields are not editable, they will be filled in with the rates of the resource associated with the task by default. You may click the Look Up lookup buttons to select different Custom Rates for this timesheet record only.

 

% Complete: Enter the actual completion percentage for the selected resource on the selected task. This only updates the completion status for that resource on the selected task.

 

Description: Description of the timesheet record being entered.

 

Click the Save button to save the new timesheet and the system will go to the Browse Timesheets page.

 

Click the Cancel button to withdraw the current operation and the system will go to the Browse Timesheets page.
