Browse Budget Line Items

You can browse all budget line items on the Browse Budget Line Items page.

 

BrowseBudgetLineItems

 

A brief summary of each budget line item is displayed in the table. The summary includes Approved Date, Fiscal Year, Associated Project, Fund ID, Currency, Budget Amount, and Budget Status. You may sort the records by clicking the column headers. If there are too many records to be displayed on one page, you can use the navigation control to view the other pages, or you may increase the number of records per page.

Note: A "Pending Change" budget status indicates that a budget line item has unapproved change record(s). An "Approved" status indicates that the budget line item Initial records and all change records (if there're any) are approved. Other statuses reflect the status of the budget Initial record.

 

You can quickly find the budget line items you want by using the search function.  Enter search conditions in the search fields and click the Search button.  The budget line items will be filtered and the table will display the records that match the search conditions.  Click the Reset button to clear the latest input into the search field.

 

Click the Edit icon Edit at the end of a line item row to edit a budget line item.  The system will open the Edit Budget Line Item page in a new window for the selected item.

 

Click the Delete icon Delete at the end of a line item row to delete this item. All budget line items can be deleted regardless of their statuses.

 

Click the View Audit Trail icon View Audit Trail at the end of a line item row to view the changed records of this item.  The system will open the Browse Audit Trail Details page in a new window.

 

Click the Add icon Add on the top left corner of the table to add new budget line item(s).  The system will then go to the Create Budget Line Items page.

 

You can export the budget data from the CIPAce application to Microsoft Excel 2007.  Select the budget line items you want by checking the checkbox and click ExporttoExcel2007 in the upper-left corner of the table.  The selected budget data will be exported to an Excel file.

 

You can transfer out budget amount of a line item to the other budget line items.  Select the budget line items that will be transferred out by checking the checkbox and click TransferSelectBudget in the upper-left corner of the table.  The system will then go to the Budget Transfer page.

 

You can delete budget line items in batch.  Select the budget line items to be deleted by checking the checkboxes beside those budget line items and click DeleteSelectBudget in the upper-left corner of the table, and the selected budget line items will be deleted. All budget line items can be deleted regardless of their statuses.

 

You can execute the process of automated budget carryover which will automatically transfer the original budget balance amount to the next fiscal year.  Select the budget line items that will be transferred by checking the checkboxes beside those budget line items and click BudgetCarryOver in the upper-left corner of the table.  The system will then go to the Automated Budget Carryover page.
