Navigate Here: Planning > Ranking > Browse Ranking Phases > Click a ranking phase > Evaluation tab or Planning > Ranking > Rank Projects > Select a ranking phase

 

The administrator can rank projects on the Rank Projects page after a ranking phase is created and ranking assignments are made for the ranking phase.

 

You can access this page via Ranking Phase Management > Evaluation tab.

 

An Evaluator dropdown box is displayed at the top of the page, listing all the evaluators assigned to the current ranking phase.  You can select an evaluator to filter the ranking tasks in the lower table.

You can also access this page via Planning > Ranking > Rank Projects > Select a ranking phase.

 

As an evaluator, you can only view the ranking phases which you (the current user) have been assigned to.

The page differs according to different ranking standards applied to the ranking phase.

 

Score-based Ranking

 

A brief summary of each ranking task displays in the table. The summary includes Project ID, Project Name, Requested Funding, Evaluator, Score, Status, and Justification.  You may sort the records by clicking the column headers.  If there are too many records to be displayed on one page, you can use the navigation control to view other pages, or you may increase the number of records per page.

 

Requested Funding: The approved financial scoping amount of the corresponding project.  It is read-only.

 

Score: Select a score from the dropdown list for each project.  The Score multiplied by the user's Weight equals the Total Score for the project.

 

Status: The status of the ranking process.  It is read-only.  The status will be Pending until all the ranking results have been saved and submitted,  and the status will then be changed to Submitted.

 

Justification: Give justification of the submitted score.

 

Click the Project Name link of one of the records and the system will open the Project General Management page of the selected project.

 

Click the Save button to save the ranking results.

 

Click the Save & Submit button to save and submit the ranking results.  The status will be changed to Submitted at this time.

 

Click the Reset button to clear the latest input.

 

Forced Matrix Ranking

 

A brief summary of each ranking task is displayed in the table.  The summary includes Project ID, Project Name, Requested Funding, Evaluator, Score, and Status.  You may sort the records by clicking the linked column header.  If there are too many records to be displayed on one page, you can use the navigation control to view other pages, or you may increase the number of records per page.

 

Requested Funding: The approved financial scoping amount of the corresponding project.  It is read-only.

 

Score: The score comes from the comparison result between every two projects.  For details, please refer to the following contents.

 

Status: The status of the ranking process.  It is read-only.  The status will be Pending until all the ranking results have been saved and submitted,  and the status will then be changed to Submitted.

 

Click the Rank link of one of the projects to start ranking.  The page will refresh in which you can compare the selected project with all the other projects on importance level.  The selected project's name is displayed at the top of the page and the other projects are displayed in the lower table.  For each Lower Than, meaning the importance of the selected project is lower than that of the other project, it gets no point.  Conversely, for each Higher Than, it gets one point.  The total points will be displayed as Score in the previous page.  If a comparison is already made between Project A and Project B, then when you rank Project B, the comparison result between Project B and Project A will be pre-populated.

 

You can browse the selected project by clicking the Project Name link at the top of the page.  The system will then go to the Project General Management page for the project.

 

Click the Save button to save the ranking results and return to the previous page.

 

Click the Save & Submit button to save and submit the ranking results and return to the previous page.  The status will be changed to Submitted at this time.

 

Click the Cancel button to withdraw the current operation and return to the previous page.

 

Criteria-based Ranking

 

A brief summary of each ranking task displays in the table.  The summary includes: Project ID, Project Name, Criteria, Requested Funding, Evaluator, Score, Status, and Justification. You may sort the records by clicking the linked column header.  If there are too many records to be displayed on one page, you can use the navigation control to view other pages, or you may increase the number of records per page.

Score: Select a score from the dropdown list for each criteria for a project.  The Score multiplied by the user's Weight equals the Total Score for the project.

You can browse a project by clicking the Project Name link.  The system will then go to the Planning Project General page of the selected project.

Click the Reset button to clear the latest input.

 

Authorized users can still edit the ranking results even though they have been submitted.

 

Advanced Criteria-based Ranking

When Ranking Assignment and Ranking Criteria are done, you can click the Start Evaluation button to start the evaluation. You can use either Default Mode or Mass Input Mode to do evaluation.

 

If necessary, you can also Pause Evaluation to modify the Ranking Criteria or Ranking Assignment when the evaluation is started. But please note that editing criteria will clear all previously saved evaluation data, and editing Ranking Assignment will clear any related evaluation data.

 

Click Submit to submit all evaluation data. Evaluation data cannot be changed after submission.
